This year, we focused on our mission to foster a green ecosystem within the office spaces, driven by a commitment to sustainability and the enhancement of employee well-being among THE DOCKS community. THE DOCKS towers have undergone a strategic overhaul to lead in a new era of eco-consciousness, setting a standard for responsible corporate citizenship.

A recent study conducted by an Exeter University states that employees were 15% more productive when working in a ‘green’ office than their peers in more spartan environs. 77% state that natural light is important to them for more fruitful professional outcomes. Hitherto, our fully glazed buildings embrace the beauty of natural light, creating a luminous synergy between architecture and the environment, to magnify energy efficiency for our valued community among our office spaces. As we co-opt the lustre of LED technology into our office spaces, it corresponds with our purposefulness to efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental protection. The switch to LED lighting is a deliberate decision that not only improves the visual appeal of our workspaces but also ensures optimal energy usage.

We constantly ensure utmost air quality through the installation of sophisticated air monitors at THE DOCKS. Our energy conservation metrics per year reflect an impressive 45% annual reduction in energy consumption by using Inverter AC (Kwh). We involve employees in productive sustainability initiatives, fostering a culture of green responsibility, as an encouragement to optimistic work culture. An illustrative instance of our commitment is evidenced by the active engagement of our personnel, who collectively planted approximately 1000 shrubs within our business park.

In alignment with our dedication to environmental stewardship, we are also delighted to emphasize a green restaurant, Marina Garden by THE DOCKS within the business park, with a lush and cosy atmosphere among rooftop green spaces. From sourcing local, organic, and fresh Mauritian ingredients to implementing energy-efficient kitchen practices, our restaurant is setting a benchmark for sustainable gastronomy, amid an ambiance of refined comfort, fusing elegance with modernism.

At THE DOCKS, we understand that responsible transportation is vital in mitigating climate change. To this end, we have taken decisive steps to reduce our carbon footprint significantly, through Park and Ride shuttles, by THE DOCKS. We uplift our employees to adopt eco-friendly transportation practices such as biking, walking, or using our carbon-neutral shuttle transportation. This not only promotes healthier lifestyles among our team but also eases traffic congestion and reduces emissions at THE DOCKS community.
